Brea-Olinda CA seniors Mia Douge and Whitney Valenti placed second and third in the 3-mile girls varsity race at the Crestview League finals at Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim, Calif. Douge clocked 17:16.1 and Valenti, who led the race through the 2-mile mark, clocked 17:27, as Brea finished second to six-time champion Anaheim Canyon CA by a 29-51 margin. Douge improved 36 seconds from the Oct. 2 preview meet and Valenti lowered her mark by 24 seconds to place third and fourth overall, including the North Hills League competitors.
